President and Founder
MICHAEL D. CONRAD, EA
Mr. Conrad is an Enrolled Agent, admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service with over 25 years of all aspects of income tax, tax representation and accounting.
After graduating from Assumption College in Worcester, MA, he began his career with a local CPA firm, where he gained the hands-on knowledge and experience with individuals and small businesses. He later worked for the City of Worcester Treasurer’s Office as an accountant, where he increased accounting efficiencies, implemented city-wide cash controls, modernized payroll compliance, and assisted with the preparation of the City’s financial statements.
Additionally, Mr. Conrad was appointed as City Treasurer and Collector of Taxes in 2006, overseeing the City’s $550 million budget while managing 32 accounting and treasury staff. He also served as the Director of Accounting for non-profit health insurance company, Fallon Community Health Plan.
Senior Accountant
TUYET B. PHAM, EA
Ms. Pham is an Enrolled Agent, admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service with over 25 years of all aspects of income tax, tax representation and accounting. Before joining Strategic Accounting and Tax Service LLC in 2021, Tuyet was a Senior Accountant for 10 years at the nonprofit insurer Fallon Health. In 2017, she was a co-founder of FUVI Cognitive Intelligence, and served as treasurer for the software education platform.
A 1996 graduate of Worcester State College with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance, she has avidly continued learning in her career, gaining experience in a range of accounting environments both large and small, public and private. Tuyet’s areas of expertise include cash management, payroll, tax, general ledger, investment and auditing. She is a certified Notary Public in Massachusetts.
Payroll Manager
GHI VAUGHN
Ms. Vaughn is a graduate of Boise State University and has a wide range of professional experience while providing exceptional focus on stakeholder needs as well as detail-oriented results. Ghi’s complement of knowledge in payroll law and superior customer service is notable.
For 9 years, she prepared budgets and performed financial analysis at the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University. Since 2014, Ms. Vaughn has been providing energetic, knowledgeable, accurate and friendly payroll services for Strategic Accounting & Tax Service LLC.
Accounting/Bookkeeping Manager
CARA F. BEDARD-WHITNEY
Ms. Whitney is our Bookkeeping & Accounting Manager. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Quinsigamond Community College and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Worcester State University. Cara is our In-office QuickBooks Guru, starting with us in October 2023, and has over 30 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience. She specializes in QuickBooks Online and Desktop – from Setup and Conversions to Revamps, Reconciliations, and Reconstruction. Cara takes great pride in providing “to-the-penny” bookkeeping for her clients!
Staff Accountant
NASHALY BERNARD
Ms. Bernard is a Staff Accountant who recently graduated from Capella University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 2023, and joined Strategic Accounting & Tax Service in November, 2023. With an abundance of analytical experience, Nashaly utilizes her detailed-oriented skills to offer exceptional customer service and proficient results. With her strong-work ethic and commitment, she is motivated to attain excellence. Nashaly is working towards achieving her Enrolled Agent license with the Internal Revenue Service.
Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant
CAROL B. MCDONALD
Ms. McDonald is a Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant and joined Strategic Accounting & Tax Service in 2019. Having been a longtime editor at local publications, including the Worcester Telegram & Gazette and Worcester Business Journal, Carol is very meticulous about facts and figures and makes for the perfect bookkeeper. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia and her Master’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts.
Accounting Assistant
JENIFFER ROBLES
Ms. Robles is an Accounting Assistant and has been working at Strategic Accounting & Tax Service LLC since November, 2022. Jeniffer has an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Hudson County Community College in New Jersey. She brings an energetic and caring customer service approach to every client and collegue she meets. With prior accounting and tax experience, Jeniffer makes sure every client is cared for with complete professionalism.
Staff Accountant
TYLER J. GIBB
Mr. Gibb is a Staff Accountant who graduated from Worcester State University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Hired in 2024, Tyler brings over 8 years of private corporate accounting knowledge and has since transitioned into public tax accounting over the last several years. With outstanding customer service skills, attention to detail, and a constant yearning to understand the intricacies of the ever-changing tax law and their individual implications on our clients makes Tyler an excellent addition to our team. Tyler is working towards achieving his Enrolled Agent license with the Internal Revenue Service.
